Meals on Wheels

posted by:
Lindy

I started sleeping around 6 p.m. so at 1 a.m. I’m wide awake.   I went right to my computer to read the comments and emails (it’s like Christmas morning).

Kathy Terpstra from Haven Church has been coordinating meals with our church family.  She’s had a few calls from our greater community to see if and when they can take a meal to us.  She has so kindly requested that I pass along her name and phone number if you want to get on the meal schedule.

If you would like to bring a meal please contact Kathy Terpstra at 616-499-3578.  I have my schedule linked to my blog so your name will be added to it.  It’s on the left hand side of the screen entitled “schedules”.  I have babysitters listed, meal takers, my appointments and other misc. things.  This is simply an FYI so please do not feel like you have to bring a meal.  I know summer can get very busy and we all look forward to spending time with our kids and families.

Dusty and I are so humbled and grateful for the outpouring of love and generosity from everyone.  We can’t wait to be on the giving side of it.

Thank you!

I’m so thankful the surgery went well for you Lindy. I’ll be thinking about you as you begin chemo today. My friends husband calls his chemo “search and destroy”!
Praying you are not too uncomfortable.
    Love,
    Jana

Glad the surgery was okay….hopefully you are not too sore this morning. Praying for you today!
I have to tell you, last night when I was putting Joshua to bed and I asked him what we should pray for he says (in a way only a three year old can–he also stutters a little so it was even cuter) “Mommy, who was that lady we went somewhere with today?” And I said ‘you mean Mrs. Lindy?’ and he says “Yeah, lets pray for her”. It was precious. And you know God hears the little ones better than us right?!
Hope you feel God’s peace today everywhere you go.

I am praying for God to fill you with strength today.

I hope that you feel all of us behind you as you walk in for chemo. I would think that this has to be one of the worst appointments that you will face.

I will be thinking about you all day.

Hello Lindy….. Pastor Scott shared this with us a couple of weeks ago. It’s a quote by A.W. Tozer. “Anything God has ever done, He can do now. Anything God has ever done anywhere, He can do here. Anything God has ever done for anyone, He can do for you. I am so proud of your strong faith. God’s Blessings and love.

  6. Dear Lindy,
We, too, were able to experience first-hand the generosity of this community during my Dad’s fight with cancer. Prepare to be humbled and left speechless often in the months to come, as God has some awesome people in this area who are willing to go to battle for you, Dusty, and your children in whatever way they can. Know that our prayers are with you and your loved ones daily.
Psalm 138:8a “The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me”. I pray today that these words will bring you comfort and hope.
    Love, Susan

Just like you running to check for posts, we are always eager for an update. Thank you for putting it all out there. Your fears, happy times, bad times, etc… Isaiah always prays for Brooklyn’s mom all on his own. Hopefully this post works. I haven’t been able to get on.

We’ve been thinking of you and your family all day. We know you are being well cared for by hands and hearts that are the extension of God Himself. We trust and pray that you are having an uneventful night and that you all sleep well. Every time I wake up during the night (which can be quite often the closer I get to 60), your names are mentioned to the One Whose eyes are ever on you. Much Love & Prayers…
