I did have cancer in the same breast 6 yrs ago... and had a lumpectomy. About a year ago, I got a rash.. really bad all over my body .. of undetermined origin, come to find out that is a side effect of cancer for some people. The new cancer is embedded in the scar tissue from the lumpectomy so it could not be seen by Mammography (had a clear one in Marcy) or ultrasound... the rash started on my legs and worked its way up.. when it got to that breast, the skin changed and they became suspicious so I did a biopsy... and there it was.
I can tell you how the treatment affects me, but it affects everyone differently. I do treatments every 3 weeks on Thursday.... by Saturday I start feeling sore...Sunday and Monday ..like I have been beat up. Tuesaday thru Thursday, I just feel really bloated.. with Thursday being diarrhea. On those days, over the counter medicine for "gas" and Imodium. Then on Friday, I feel wonderful.. and do until the whole cycle starts again. It isn't really bad though, I continue with my routine. I did my big chemo last Thursday (7/16).. I do Herceptin every Thursday because I was Her2 positive. Let me know when you are there, I would love to say "hi" .. We are going to be fine.. this is a small space of time where we have to deal ... and show God's people how you go through rough times... there is always a purpose.

Hey again ~ I've been thinking about you and praying for you today, knowing that the Sunday following chemo is the worst. I pray tomorrow brings you relief!

Last week in church we sang a song that had a chorus that I thought was something you could hang on to. It goes like this...
"Oh no, You never let go,
every high and every low,
Oh no, You never let go,
Through the calm and through the storm,
Oh no, You never let go,
Lord, You never let go of me."
My prayer is that you can feel our Lord's loving and healing arms wrapped tightly around you.
Love, Jana

Hey Lindy! Kamrin's latest saying after tonights prayer for you. "Mom, Lindy has had my angel for like 100 days now, is she better yet?" I repsonsed "Well babe, your angel is helping but she'll need her for alittle while longer". Kamrin than made me laugh out loud when she said "Well I hope Lindy doesn't wear flip flops because those will hurt her toes like they do mine and I don't want her feet to hurt her". I told her I would pass on the tip to you. Hope it brings a smile to you as it did to me.

Hi Lindy, Thanks for the updates, with all that you have endured, it's such great news to hear the tumor is shrinking, your body is handling, and the worst chemo is behind you. Your an amazing woman and your faith is an inspiration to all of us. Praying your weekend will be better than expected.
