That’s life
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We’re thankful for many things including the fact that Boston Market is open on Thanksgiving. :) It was a long day at home and it didn’t feel like Thanksgiving without seeing the whole family. There is always next year.
The kids are finally turning the corner and feeling better. So much, in fact, that my parents watched them today so Dusty and I could go out and shop. We went to Target and then got rear ended. That’s right rear ended. The first time we’ve been out together in weeks and we got in an accident. Thankfully no one was hurt. While we were waiting for the police to arrive we had time to reflect on our lives. All we could do was laugh. It is what it is.
Dusty and I came home and were humbled and I was brought to tears over the card and generosity we received from a group at Herman Miller. Thank you so much. That was unexpected and incredibly kind.
I’m feeling better. I’ve been doing my arm exercises and the pain and range of motion is improving in both arms. For some reason I cannot stand anything touching my skin where I was operated on. I don’t know what that is or why. Maybe it’s the nerves coming back to life? If anyone knows what that is or what makes it more tolerable I would love to hear from you.
P.S. Did you know Target sells a 3lb bag of Wint-O-Green Lifesavers? That made my day. I love them and ate them while we waited for the police.

TIME
Definitely nerves cut during the operation. Nerves are the slowest part of our body to heal. I still have no feeling in the back part of my arm from armpit to elbow, but is only bothersome if someone touches me there. It is also weird in that cold objects feel wet… the good news is that the arm is WAY better now then last March when I had the lymph nodes removed. Hope everything continues to improve for your family.

Just watch out where you store the rest of those wint-o-green lifesavers. We bought a giant bag from Costco and stored them in two of the gallon ziplocs. The strong scent still got out evidently. All of our cereal, crackers, pop-tarts (not that I ever eat those of course. I only eat organic healthy stuff that Jillian Michaels recommends of course :), and a lot more of our pantry stuff had a curious wint-o-green flavor.
Target was crazy yesterday! I’m glad you got to get out, but sorry that you were rear ended!

You have got to be kidding me??? I can’t believe you were rear ended! On the up side.. at least it wasn’t your fault:) You REALLY need a break!! I bought that bag of lifesavers a couple years ago and everyone I worked with discovered them in my secret candy stash and they were gone in a week!

It would only happen to you!!
Glad to hear that the two of you could get out and do a little shopping, that has to feel good.
Hope everyone continues to feel better in your house. Make sure to use lots of hand wash so that you don’t end up with the flu on top of everything else.
