Happy Thanksgiving

posted by:
Lindy

The traditional Thanksgiving dinner with family is not happening for us.  Unfortunately all three kids have fevers.  Samantha has an ear infection and cough.  I took Brooklyn to the doctor today because we couldn’t get her fever down after 8 days and she was diagnosed with a sinus infection that developed from having the flu.  Max has a fever, but hasn’t been to the doctor yet so we don’t know what he has.  Both Samantha and Brooklyn are on Amoxicillin so I was hoping that out of pity the doctor would give me a prescription for Max too, but no such luck.

Jill and I saw Dr. VanderWoude today and she is very happy with my pathology report and the way I’ve progressed.  We gathered that she was surprised by how well I responded to chemo and surgery and she didn’t expect me to do as well as what I have.  She commented that by the size of my tumor she didn’t expect all my lymph nodes to come back clear.  God still works miracles.  It’s great to be cancer free.

I start physical therapy next week for my arm and see Dr. Edlund (radiation guy) to get the game plan going.  I think I’m getting my tattoos.

I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! You will be missed today, but of course it’s totally understood.
Thanksgiving is special this year….I am thankful that Samantha seems to have no ill effects from her rough start in life and I’m thankful for how far you have come in your journey with cancer. I’m thankful for all your family, friends and total strangers who have been praying for you during this journey.
    Our God can move mountains!!

Lindy, as my little family gathers later today to give thanks, your name will be on our list. I’m doing a Beth Moore study called ‘Believing God.’ There are five statements of faith and the first is that God is who He says He is and the second that God can do what He says He can dol I believe He is doing a great miracle for you and THROUGH you. I know that my own faith has grown as a result both of your blogs and the Spirit-filled responses to them. I think when you get to heaven (YEARS from now!) you will be amazed how many lives you touched. God bless your whole family this day. Blessed Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!! I am thankful for my Greatest friend in the world who is cancer free today thanks to our Lord Savior. Six months ago we sat and cried together so scared about the future. Yesterday we sat in a doctors office in hysterical laugher over the snuggie blanket. GOD IS GOOD!
    Love you,

    Hi Lindy:

I just wanted to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. I would love to chat with you sometime. I read your blog daily and it inspires me and calms my fears. I pray that I can be as courageous as you! I am glad to hear that there wasn’t lymph involvement. I am praying for Stage 1 without lymph involvement. Please feel free to call me (of course, wait til your kids are feeling better).

    With much respect,

    Amy H (886-9753)

Happy Thanksgiving to you Lindy! I can imagine the amount of thankfulness that you have today! Thankful for yet another miracle in your life. Cancer free! Yes, you can say that as many times you want!! I am grateful for you for that same reason AND for the inspiration that you have offered to others through this. Prayers will be lifted for restored health for your kids and continued healing for you. Tell Dusty that I can totally relate to the vomit thing. I despise it too. It is amazing how God helps you overcome your fears. Tell him way to go!
